July 19, 2010 – Lyrasis has announced a marketing and educational push enhancing the current relationship with the OCLC Web-scale Management Services initiative, an integrated library system (ILS) done “in the cloud.” LYRASIS has also announced a new partnership with SkyRiver Technology Solutions, a cataloging utility offering price savings over traditional services.

This news was shared on Information Today in their article, “LYRASIS Partnerships Expand with OCLC, Launch with SkyRiver”. This is an interesting ménage à trois of former rivals. According to Lyrasis, they were focusing on library members. With 2,000 institutional members and more than 5,000 reached through group memberships, this diverse membership of both large and small libraries required the input and talents of both vendors.
