September 7, 2010 – Feel the need to travel and expand your knowledge base at the same time? Perhaps you should check out this workshop on semantic technology.

Scheduled for the city of Saarbrucken in Germany, the “2nd Workshop on Semantic Multimedia Database Technologies” is set to go for December 1-3. Research on ontology based systems that help structure content and support knowledge retrieval and management will be the start of the focus.

Semantic database technologies are applied to ensure reliable and secure access, storage, and distribution of multimedia metadata and data. This event will include a scientific session, a demo and application session for presentation, and discussion roundtables of demonstration and application papers. Most importantly, a panel session is on the schedule for interactive discussion on the trend of ontologies in multimedia metadata; a topic near and dear to our hearts.
