December 31, 2010 – SciVerse Application Marketplace aims to meet the need of seamless scientific research with their latest release.

Information Today brought this interesting piece of news to our attention in their article, “SciVerse Hub Application Connects Researchers With U.S. Government Datasets.”  This free application was developed by the Tetherless World Research Constellation (TWC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and is available for search across the SciVerse Hub. The highlight of the application is that it provides researchers keyword matched results for more than 300,000 government datasets from data.gov as well as the semantic data and related demos at the Linking Open Government Data (LOGD) portal.

This use of semantic technology results in a powerful search and provides relational linking of content behind the scenes.
