Big data is becoming a common term as organizations are wondering about business intelligence and how they could derive some from all the information at their disposal. The awareness of big data is good; however, the time is coming and organizations will need the infrastructure to help them make sense of the data and secure it.

ComputerWorld brought this news to our attention in their article, “How to be ready for Big Data.” Taking unstructured data and extracting something useful from it can require a semantic data model as a layer that sits on top of the data stores and helps you make sense of everything.

Semantic technology continues to prove its worth to data and findability.
