Book lovers everywhere understand how difficult it was for us to give up the feel and smell of real books in our hands after the release of e-readers drew us to the dark side. I resisted for a while, but the ability to take ten times my normal 5-7 books on a vacation or work trip without taking up extra luggage room overrode the nostalgia. The Daily Times brought this issue to our attention in their article, “Book culture — making a comeback?

In Pakistan, the book culture is alive and well. The National Book Foundation (NBF) is playing a huge role in promoting the literary culture of books, and this includes textbooks. NBF is establishing standards in textbooks and assisting authors in benchmarks and parameters in textbook development.
