Twitter is making artificial intelligence efforts a priority. They are seeking experts to fill out a new team called ‘Cortex.’  Business Insider brought this news to us in their article, “Here’s what we know about ‘Cortex,’ Twitter’s new artificial intelligence group focused on understanding content.”

As they try to keep up with Google and Facebook in the industry’s escalating artificial intelligence race, Twitter is looking for architecture and systems software engineers who will work on ‘Deep Learning’, a specialized branch of artificial intelligence.

One of Cortex’s goals is in line with standard social media approaches. “Automatic content understanding” is intended to automatically label the flood of disparate content that users publish on its social network.

Google and Facebook has been focused on artificial intelligence for awhile now, even so far as Google acquiring -DeepMind in 2014.
