The Special Libraries Association (SLA) 2016 annual conference is being held on June 12-14, 2016 in Philadelphia. There are many networking opportunities at SLA 2016 that will allow you to share your experiences and learn from other information professionals.

One workshop that might get you interested in registering is Taxonomy Talk From the Publishing World scheduled for Tuesday, June 14.

Charlotte McNaughton from ASCE, Larry Rafsky from Acquire Media and Eric Pepper from SPIE will be leading this interesting panel. They will discuss the kinds of public-facing applications they have built or used to highlight their content, the variety of ways they use taxonomy-generated data, and their upcoming plans for project expansion or completion.
