This year’s Special Libraries Association (SLA) annual conference takes place June 12-14, 2016 in Philadelphia. There are unique opportunities and events being offered in addition to fabulous keynote speakers, interesting workshops and enjoyable networking opportunities.

Some of those opportunities this year are book signings, and our own Marjorie (Margie) M.K. Hlava will be there with her book, The Taxobook: History, Theories, and Concepts of Knowledge Organization. The book is a three part series about creating and maintaining taxonomies and their practical applications, especially in search functions.

Margie will be in the exhibit hall in Booth #3 on Sunday, June 12 at 6:30-7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, June 14 at 1:30-2:00 p.m. to greet you and sign books. There will be discounts on book purchases during the signing sessions.

Heather Hedden, Author of The Accidental Taxonomist, 2nd edition (2016) will also be signing her book on Sunday, June 12 at 5:30-6:00 p.m. and again on Monday, June 13 at 3:00-3:30 p.m.
in Booth #214.
