Scope e-Knowledge Center (Scope) has announced a partnership with Springer Nature to build and maintain taxonomies and thesauri for the global publisher’s various online information products that cover nearly 14 subject domains. This interesting news came to us from Knowledge Speak in their article, “Scope in deal with Springer Nature to provide thesaurus development and maintenance services.”

Like all good practices, the knowledge models will be developed with ANSI/NISO standards guiding the way. Scope ensures that the knowledge modelling solutions will cut across product silos to create an overarching architecture connecting all of Springer Nature’s content.

To ensure accuracy and currency of the knowledge models, Scope will also engage an external panel of experts from the industry and academia. This in addition to Scope’s team of taxonomists and subject matter experts (SMEs). Scope will facilitate Springer Nature with a solution that optimizes search and enables faceted navigation.
