Winston Churchill said, “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”

Change is permeating business through the people, the processes and the technology. At this rate, we should reach perfection soon. CMS Wire brought this news to our attention in their article, “DAM’s Next Wave Anticipates Our Connected Future.”

Digital asset management (DAM) is not immune to these changes. The future holds a broader vision for DAM to manage digital assets as a critical component of the information ecosystem.

DAM is evolving and this requires a departure from traditionally fixed infrastructure elements and business rules. Characteristics will include greater user interactivity and collaboration, more pervasive network connectivity and enhanced communication channels.

All this and more requires a digital foundation and that requires attention and preparedness.
