The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) offers educational opportunities in various venues. One of them is their virtual Lunch & Learn with NFAIS sessions and the next one is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

In recent years, research data management has assumed an increasingly prominent place in scholarly communication, funder requirements, codes of academic practice, university research strategy and even national policy. The Realities of Research Data Management, an OCLC Research project, explores the context and choices research universities face in building or acquiring RDM capacity.

This single-presenter session provides an overview from all four of the project reports, and will provide attendees with insight on the practical realities of research data management.

Lunch & Learn events are free for NFAIS members. Non-members are welcome to attend at $65 for individual registration or $175 for unlimited group registration.
