The Association of American Publishers is making available some very interesting and applicable speakers and topics during their Professional & Scholarly Publishing (PSP) webinars this week.
The first one is today, July 21, 2015 at 12:30-1:30 p.m. with Dee Magnoni, Research Library Director at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dee will discuss Scholarly Communications at a National Research Lab: Institution-wide Approaches to Research and Publication.
The next is Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 12:00-1:00 p.m. with Lily Khidr, Scientific Publisher at Elsevier. Lily will discuss research in developing countries, including sharing her most recent experience where she participated in the Publishers Without Borders Program to help develop the academic research infrastructure in Tanzania.
Finally, on Friday, July 24, 2015, Alison Go, Senior Product Manager for Mobile at Audible, Inc. will address App Building Battle Scars: Lessons from the Trenches. Building apps is not easy. With real-life examples from Audible and beyond, Alison will discuss the intricacies of app development, from permissions, prototyping, usability testing, and using data to make tough product decisions.
