The National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS) is offering a unique webinar titled, “Overcoming Challenges to Sharing Data.”
We were taught in kindergarten to share, and that is still a valuable practice today, especially in the world of data. Open source is a prime example of the interest in sharing research data. However, it is important to remember that there are many challenges to overcome before the research community can accelerate the use of this information.
This webinar addresses what it will take to explore these barriers, and the possible solutions in overcoming them. Mike Huerta of NLM/NIH joins T. Scott Plutchak of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and early career researcher, Shreejoy Tripathy, in discussing the underlying issues from their perspectives as funder, administrator, and researcher.
The event is on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. EST.
