Information technology (IT) leadership seems to be getting hit hard lately, especially in the government sector. The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) is the latest agency to make changes to its IT structure. They are losing two-long serving IT executives at a time when cyber, mobile and other capabilities are more vital than ever. Federal News Radio brought this to us in their article, “FBI joins growing list of agencies with IT executive turnover.”
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the Energy Department are among the other agencies undergoing a significant overhaul of their leadership.
As technology changes, so does information management. It is rapidly evolving and for those in the business, this can present some challenging demands. The profession itself is going through an irreversible change.
