Kenniset is a public organization for education and information communication technologies in the Netherlands. They have deployed TopBraid Enterprise Vocabulary Net (EVN) from TopQuadrant to support the development of standardized semantics for Dutch education. KM World brought this interesting information to us in their article, “Standardized semantics for Dutch education.”

TopBraid EVN is a Web-based system for managing semantic information models. Stakeholders who need to collaborate on defining and linking enterprise vocabularies, taxonomies, thesauri and ontologies used for information integration, navigation and search rely on this technology.

This move will facilitate seamless inter-organizational flow in primary and secondary administrative processes. With the solution, dozens of models for different informational domains like curriculum, testing or school funding processes can be available both for humans and machines. That means a savings in labor and shorter lead times to realize shared semantics in Dutch education.
