Software company SAP recently unveiled its plans for its next version of cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP). The latest release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud is being updated with a new architecture of in-memory and contextual analytics, digital assistant capabilities and machine learning. Cloud Tech brought this news to us in their article, “SAP promises ‘new generation of intelligent cloud ERP’ with latest offering.”
SAP is looking to add artificial intelligence (AI) to ERP, and that will help customers adjust to and adopt business processes based on real-time data and insight.
Those in technology expect a lot out of AI. It has certainly transformed many aspects of our daily and business world and it likely will change the Internet someday, but not in the foreseeable future because little knowledge is captured in a form that AI machines can ingest directly.
