All businesses are on alert for cyber attacks, regardless of their size. No business is too small to be a victim, so all businesses should carefully review their cyber security efforts. Cyber Law Monitor brought this topic to us in their article, “Protect Against Cyber Attacks: A New Guide to Help Small Businesses.”
Larger companies naturally invest more resources in cyber security so attackers are beginning to target smaller, less secure businesses. The National Institute of Standards and Tehnology (NIST) recently published Small Business Information Security: The Fundamentals to guide and resource small business as they attempt to protect themselves. It provides a simple and actionable framework to help minimize security risks.
The resource is divided into five sections: Know the Risks, Identify Data, Protect, Detect, and Respond. The full resource can be downloaded here.
Data security has never been more important.
