A new semantic-based search tool is designed to help U.S. Army intelligent tutoring system authors search for existing training reference materials. This interesting information came from Executive Biz in their article, “ICF Evaluates Charles River Analytics’ New Semantic-Based Search Tool.”

ICF conducted a double-blind evaluation of Content Retrieval and Extraction for Advanced Tutoring Environments in comparison with traditional keyword searching techniques using Charles River Analytics’s new semantic-based tool. Instruction system designers who used the system to search for relevant content on Army battlefield radios have reported that they found more search results within a fixed time period.

As semantic technology continues to evolve and be used in a variety of applications, it has never been more important to have someone with expertise and knowledge handling your content, developing your taxonomies, and making your information findable. Choose the right products and professionals.
