The Professional/Scholarly Publishing (PSP) Division of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) is offering a unique two-part educational opportunity available in person or via webinar on July 26th at 12:30-2:30 p.m. EST. The first part is titled: “The Changing Discovery Landscape – Part 1: Librarians and Researchers.”
This session will give an overview of the discovery landscape, discuss the different kinds of discovery services, and note the differences between them.
Federated search was supposed to be the next big thing, but we all know how that turned out. What’s the next big thing? What tools and workflows do researchers/end-users find indispensable?
The first part of this two-part seminar on the changing discovery landscape is designed to address new developments in the tools available for librarians and researchers. For Part 2, which will be announced at a later date, we will hear from vendors and publishers who assist end-users by helping them find relevant content to enhance their discovery experience of published work.
