The Society for Scholarly Publishing is offering a fall seminar on New Directions in Society & Nonprofit Publishing. Mark your calendars for October 4, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The event is also offered in virtual meeting format.
Society-based and other non-profit publishers face unique challenges in an ever-changing information landscape. How do we stay relevant to our member, reader, author, and library constituencies? How do we not only meet but also anticipate their needs? What are the next great trends in technology, metrics, and new forms of publishing?
The featured speaker will be Greg Tananbaum from Meta/Chan Zuckerberg Initiative along with other speakers and topics that will explore trends and advances in issues such as editorial technology, marketing and customer insight, and open access and intellectual property.
