Exchange Data International (EDI) recently released a new service – Options Analytics – an institutional quality, end of day feed for options implied volatilities, volatility indexes, volatility surfaces, and options sensitivity parameters (Greeks) on global markets of exchange-listed options on equities, indexes, currencies, and futures. EDI shared this news with us in their release, “Exchange Data International Announces Options Analytics Service.”

For those not in the investment and financial world, the Options Analytics service uses daily updates and historical data to provide end-of-day analytics and reference data for U.S and international exchange-listed options on equities, exchange traded funds (ETFs), equity indexes, and futures.

This Analytics as a Service (AaaS) feed will eliminate the large financial investment in hardware infrastructure and labor typically associated with developing options analytics. AaaS refers to the provision of analytics software and operations through web-delivered technologies. These types of solutions offer businesses an alternative to developing internal hardware setups just to perform business analytics.
