SharePoint 2019 is on the horizon and there are many expectations around Microsoft’s promises for the future. CMS Wire brought this interesting information to us in their article, “ICYMI: Sharepoint 2019 Hopes, Machine Learning Needs and More.”
Microsoft has already told us that when the product is released in the last half of 2018 it will be very much an on premises edition of the platform with hybrid capabilities enabling users to move between the online version and the on-premises version.
SharePoint Server 2019 is expected to be a comprehensive solution for connected information work that preserves structured processes, ensures compliance, and is an IT investment optimized for the way people work through an easily-managed and integrated platform.
Even with all the buzz, little has leaked about what the on-premises version will look like once it emerges. However, what is clear and unanimous is the desire for more hybrid capabilities. With the surge of IT investment in SharePoint employee portals over the past year, companies want to engage employees from a central and consistent location.
