AI2 is one of the world’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) research organizations. This latest acquisition is the latest in a series of high-profile AI moves in Seattle as organizations fight for talent in the growing field. GeekWire brought this news to us in their article, “Leading University of Washington professor joins AI2 as artificial intelligence talent wars continue.”
Many uninformed people worry that automation will eliminate human jobs. However, the latest research shows that AI and related technologies will generate as many jobs as they displace over the next 20 years. The impact of AI on individual sectors is set to vary, however.
