Artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud modernization were a main focus at the Get Cloud Smart: The Art of the Possible event hosted by MeriTalk last month. This interesting topic came to us from MeriTalk in their article, “Cloud Smart Discussion Leads to AI and Architecture.”
A Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official spoke about the benefits of migrating data to a cloud system and overcoming barriers. The move to cloud would increase speed and agility, improve cybersecurity, leverage data, cost savings, and workforce transformation. The move would also allow the department to align more efficiently with government mandates, including executive orders.
Cloud computing is an industry buzz word. We have all heard about various characteristics and features of cloud services that a company can deploy, leveraging computing resources quickly and getting an early return on investment. There are numerous service providers available in the market to sell cloud platform as a service, infrastructure as a service and software as a service. Service providers are relentlessly trying to position their offerings towards enabling applications across industries into the cloud platform.
