Data has always been valuable, but in the digital world that has never been more true. This information came to our attention from Cloud Tech in their article, “Putting data security at the heart of digital transformation – from culture to code.”

Protecting this valuable asset has unfortunately not experienced the same growth. According to a recent survey, the spending ceiling for data security is as low as six per cent of the total security budget. Companies aren’t spending enough on data security to prevent hackers from attacking their networks.

This lack of security is a concern when security should be included by design in digital transformation projects and implemented as early as possible in this new approach to the software development life cycle.

It is of utmost importance for security to be part of all digital transformation projects from the beginning. If done correctly, this provides a complete overview of operations, and most especially how processes operate.
