Recently, the Joint Research Center issued a Proposal for a European Cybersecurity Taxonomy. Noting the absence of a globally accepted and standardized definition of cybersecurity and a clear identification of its domains of development and application, the proposal introduces a taxonomy for cybersecurity. This interesting news came to us from Mondaq in their article, “European Union: A Proposal For A European Cybersecurity Taxonomy—The End Of The Tower Of Babel?”
This effort toward the development of a cybersecurity taxonomy is welcomed. Everyone in the cybersecurity world would benefit from speaking a common language, and at the very least, common spelling.
Organizing content with a standards-based taxonomy allows you to connect, relate and classify your data – regardless of the topic. Access Innovations is one of a very small number of companies able to help its clients generate ANSI/ISO/W3C-compliant taxonomies and associated rule bases for machine-assisted indexing.
