To say this year has been eventful would be a huge understatement. This is true for healthcare, for our daily lives, for educational facilities and hospitality services. It is also true for technology. Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and other emerging technologies are being recruited in light of the COVID-19 impacts. Analytics Insight brought this interesting information to our attention in their article, “Top New COVID Influenced AI and Machine Learning Trends.”

Their uses vary. Anything from quick drug discovery to fight coronavirus, to chatbots used for teledoc applications to supply and demand management for critical supplies.

Almost every industry imaginable, even retail and healthcare, are benefitting from these technologies. The trend for emerging technologies started before the global pandemic, but the demand has certainly increased with intensity since it first arrived.

COVID will play a crucial role in determining the tech trends of AI and machine learning next year and likely, beyond.
