Scientific Learning Corporation was acquired by an affiliate of Carnegie Learning, Inc., known for artificial intelligence (AI) for education and formative assessment. This interesting news came to us from Business Wire in their article, “Carnegie Learning Acquires Scientific Learning Corporation to Strengthen its Digital Literacy Offerings.”

This combination has the potential to strengthen the education technology portfolio of both entities to further drive forward their joint mission of improving student learning outcomes through leading-edge technology built from and validated by rigorous research. It will be interesting to see what comes out of this new collaboration.

With advances in neuroscience and educational technology, student learning has been lifted to new levels. Rather than a default learning model, there’s now a fluidity in the way educators can deliver content, interact with students, take on feedback and modify their teaching approaches.

Students have access to seamless e-learning experiences influenced by behavioral psychology and the latest research on how the brain works. Adaptive learning technology uses algorithms to track student performance and modify the presentation of material based on this tracking.
