According to CIO in their article, “Machine learning is demonstrating its mettle across industries“, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) were the most disruptive technologies in 2020. Disruptive can be defined as innovative or groundbreaking, or to prevent something from continuing or operating in a normal way.

Machine learning and AI have the power to change things––helping to reduce costly, time-consuming manual processes and truly changing the cost-quality curve across industries. However, change scares people.

One of the biggest impacts of machine learning could easily be the knowledge gained from the data collected from customers. That is a positive change, but still disruptive, I suppose.

Making content findable is important to knowledge management. Finding concepts takes AI to delve through your document collection to identify and classify concepts and allows you to expand your semantic model to create meaning and relationships. The Data Harmony suite expands the semantic model to build and deliver the ontology needed for semantic search.
