June 29, 2010 – Computer Sciences Corp. will help the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) manage its electronic records under a one-year task order worth $25 million.
Washington Technology carried this news in their article, “CSC will maintain immigration e-records for CIS”. CSC will conduct scanning, indexing, and file management operations at a CIS records digitization facility and provide file maintenance activities and digitization of various types of records, including applicant (A-File), account, and temporary files. The digitized records include immigrant requests for naturalization, permanent status, and various other benefits or immigrant petitions. This will allow USCIS and its customers to electronically access specific digitized A-Files for processing immigrant applications or investigations.
