June 11, 2010 – Promising “fresher” results from their new indexing method, Google’s Caffeine responds to user’s high expectations.
Digital Journal shared the latest Google news in their article, “Google search gets a shot of caffeine with new indexing system”. Responding to the peer pressure of rivals such as Microsoft’s Bing or Yahoo, Google launched Caffeine because the Web is growing not only in size, but in variety of content such as video, images, and news. Today’s Web, Google says, is richer and more complex than ever before. With Caffeine’s new indexing approach, whether it is a news story, a blog or other real-time content, you can now find relevant links much sooner after it is published than was possible before.
This new approach seems to be in direct response to the social media and real-time communication evolution we are experiencing.
