July 12, 2010 – Perishable Distributors of Iowa, Ltd. (PDI) addressed a document capture and management problem with Metafile’s MetaViewer with great success.

With approximately 500 employees and each of PDI’s suppliers creating an extensive array of paper documents and invoices that would have to be approved, paid, shipped and processed several times a day, as well as grocery customers who each had their own supporting documentation, PDI was challenged in its ability to manage the volume of paper required to conduct business. And during the holidays, it got even worse. Implementing Metafile’s MetaViewer for electronic capture of information and integration with PDI’s homegrown enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, the automation streamlined the process with so much success that PDI recognized their return on investment less than one year after its implementation.
