July 19, 2010 – The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) used dynamic semantic publishing technology as an impressive demonstration of how a very large, mainstream website has added value and meaning to the Internet and to the event coverage.

Though Spain was ultimately the victor in the World Cup, the BBC can claim some glory in their online coverage of the event using a site boasting a comprehensive ontology that output automated metadata-driven web pages created in real time. The basis of this system was an ontology that described how World Cup facts related to each other using both manual and automated metatags.
