August 9, 2010 – Frustration is abounding across the web as people are discovering that there are some areas that can be expanded on. Full Text Indexes in a dedicated location is one of them. The reasoning is this, and it is quite simple. An option placed on the server document could be added that would place full-text indexes in said dedicated locations. Google says it cannot be done, but many think they are outright lying. We don’t want to get into a shouting match about that, though. Check Darren Duke for his take on things. Very impressive stuff.
Storage space is one drawback to this. Performance gained from full text indexing is still questionable. To be on the right track, real indexing from an ANSI-compliant company, like Access Innovations, is a must.
