December 29, 2010 – Fidelity National Technology Imaging (FNTI) has successfully completed a document conversion and redaction project for the State of Ohio Department of Health.
We found this information on 1888 Press Releases in their post, “FNTI announces the successful completion of the document conversion and redaction project for the State of Ohio Department of Health.” Another governmental use of preparing data to be digitized and indexed for easy retrieving. FNTI was chosen by the State of Ohio as the document conversion experts to convert the birth and death vital records from 1908 through 2004 from paper to digital image.
The State wanted to become compliant with new legislation pertaining to the REAL ID ACT, STEVE and EVVE reporting standards. Converting the paper records into digital images and extracting specific indexing fields would allow the Ohio Department of Vital Statistics to meet the requirements and have a more efficient department.
Going digital is exciting for government and private sector alike. It is always nice to see institutions with that much data recognize the value of making information findable.
