February 23, 2011 – Belgium based software provider, Actonomy, has released its xMP ‘empowered search’ – a search technology that analyzes, understands search queries and delivers superior results compared to results of standard search engines.
The Global Online Recruitment Resource brought this news to our attention in their article, “Actonomy to launch xMP ‘empowered search’.” Based on the Actonomy HRM ontology (knowledge base) containing millions of HRM related concepts such as functions, skills, and educations, xMP can make its own decisions while searching. Actonomy xMP empowered search is an advanced version of the Actonomy semantic search and match technology and supposedly does not only offer zero ambiguity (no false results will appear in the result list) but also faster results.
Getting faster search results is always good, and it is nice to see semantic technology finding more and more opportunities to shine.
