Too Much of a Good Thing

March 8, 2011 – The media industry isn’t lacking vehicles to deliver news, but sometimes, more is not better. Filters, not apps, seem to be in the wish lists of most users.

This interesting piece of news was found on gigaom.com in their article, “Recommendation Is Still the Holy Grail For News.” News360 recently launched a much more ambitious iPad version of its service that uses a sophisticated AI technology. The app pulls in articles from up to a thousand worldwide news sources, and then the content is evaluated with an algorithm for news freshness and source reliability. Nice use of AI technology.
