Accessing Your Data is Important

A consortium of European organizations have united to provide a single view of drug discovery across several data sources with semantic technology.

This interesting news was found on the “humble” Great Reporter in their article, “Semantic ‘lego’: an information framework to drive drug discovery.” The Open PHACTS consortium is funded by the Innovative Medicines Initiative.

Currently, pharmaceutical companies use significant resources aligning and integrating information with public data sources. Combine this with the incompatibility of massive computational approaches and the majority of drug discovery sources are frozen. Open PHACTS will deliver a single view across available data resources to make data freely available to users.

Having access to your data with no hassles, hurdles, or brick walls is a good thing and important to a successful data management system. Access Innovations wants you to have access to your data. They are one of a very small number of companies able to help its clients generate ANSI/ISO/W3C-compliant taxonomies.
