The buzz continues around Google +, both good and bad. It seems like every day I am hearing about a situation with folks being “booted” or blocked. Even William Shatner apparently got booted from the algorithm giant. Is this because they are so locked into those algorithms that even semantic technology can’t save them from a misunderstanding? Can they really loosen the reins enough to let users have some control?
TechCrunch brought this topic to our attention in their article, “Is Social In Google’s DNA?” Some of the fans of Google + are worried that their inflexibility will lead to their demise. These same users are crossing their fingers that it is just growing pains and Google won’t go the way of MySpace.
