Ignoring the Internet and social media is no longer an option for organizations. Not having a Facebook page is taboo; not having a website is unheard of; and Google better be able to find you. But in the midst of social media, how are quality and success measured? In likes and hashtags?
We found this interesting topic on Adotas.com in their article, “A Parallel Universe in the Clouds.” The author of this article points out that while we tend to think of social media as new, email is really a form of social connection, and that has been around awhile. Now that we no longer rely on snail mail to deliver our communications, it has been a fast forward to where technology has changed our lives and morphed the way we connect with our customers.
The article is very interesting and covers many more aspects of this observation. Take time to read it.
