Batten down the hatches. At least that is what management consulting firm Booz&Co. is warning businesses. The next generation of web technology will transform the way businesses work within five to ten years.
Computer Weekly brought this news to our attention in their article, “Businesses should prepare for Web 3.0, says Booz&Co.” Apparently, Web 3.0 will bring unprecedented capabilities to connect and communicate with customers, and to mine data about their online activities. If this is the case, it seems wise to start thinking now about how to take advantage of this new potential.
Harnessing Web 3.0 will bring the power of social media, the semantic web, the internet and artificial intelligence together. The result will be a personalized browsing experience for individuals and a flow of data that companies can move mountains with, or at least enhance their business productivity.
