You would have to live under a rock if you haven’t heard one person, let alone dozens, complain about the recent changes on Facebook. You would think someone changed a critical part of their life…oh wait, I guess they did.
This interesting information was found on Forbes.com in their article, “Facebook’s Changes—It’s All About the Platform.” This life-altering change was as big as anything the company has ever done. They became a real-time engine for a full-scale vision of your entire life, in the form of a new feature called “timeline.” According to Mark Zuckerberg, “We exist at the intersection of technology and social issues, and we spend a lot of time thinking about both.”
The changes and technology behind it, are utilizing the semantic web approach to determine what you want to see. They just don’t use that word because, well most people don’t understand what it means.
