Start-up Technologies Get Some Recognition

A list of start-up categories most admired was released and it is no surprise that content management made the top spot. A majority of the start-ups are into IT or mobile space, as these are the hottest selling regions.

Silicon India brought this to our attention in their article, “Most Admired Software Start-up Categories.” Content management offers a lot of opportunities in varied segments–content creator, editor, publisher, and administrator. However, the most critical aspect of content management is the manageability, i.e., the ability to manage different versions of content as it evolves. This may require a content management firm to undertake the roles of web-based publishing, format management, revision control, indexing, search, and retrieval.

Following later in the list is personalized news and that is of no surprise either. Semantic technology has advanced to the point that providing tailored news based on your likes, dislikes, Internet history, etc. is the forward thinking technology of today.
