euroCRIS has entered into a strategic partnership with the leaders of the project team of VIVO, an open Semantic Web software application.
We found this news on Cordis Wire in their article, “Strategic partnership euroCRIS and VIVO.” The VIVO project was originally developed by Cornell University. This new partnership will facilitate a diverse collection of activities already associated with the VIVO project. They propose to focus on interoperation and convergence of semantics in the two systems, interoperation of the systems to allow homogeneous access over heterogeneous research information systems, and exploring utilizing the VIVO user interface for researchers as a ‘front-end’ to the CERIF research information storage environment. Researchers, managers, funding organizations and innovators will benefit from this new partnership.
