ICD-10 Conversion Deadline Looming
With right at a year left on the deadline, 85% of respondents to a recent American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) survey indicated they had begun work on ICD-10 planning and implementation. This is up from 62% reported a year ago and 55% from a similar survey done in April 2010.

The technical working group has been formed and includes representatives from experts in the fields of education, publishing, and metadata. Their goal is to create a metadata framework for tagging resources that is can be easily implemented, but rich enough to assign valuable attributes to educational content to make searching and filtering easier.
