IBM has released new social business tools called IBM Connections. This new product suite provides data monitoring and intelligence processing. This release does not differ from IBM’s modus operandi in that they have introduced new programs, services and partnerships to help organizations develop their skills, not just provide a product.
This interesting topic was found on CloudPro in their article, “Survival of the ‘socially connected’ fittest.” Do you think IBM would be embracing social media if the peer pressure from sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc., weren’t there? Or if mobile products like iPads weren’t invading every business on the corner? IBM claims they have been developing social business for quite some time, even referring to bulletin board services of previous decades.
