A new application has been released that can serve as your own personal video librarian. Move Explorer by Anlarke scans the files and adds data from both IMDb and MOVIEmeter. With titles, descriptions, artwork, and even user ratings, this makes a very manageable library for the movie buff.

This entertaining information was found on The Verge in their article, “Movie Explorer acts as your film librarian for Windows.” The software is relatively simple and is quick to scan and collect metadata from files. The thoroughness of tagging is less than stellar, and that just shows the importance of a quality, experienced indexing process in any document or video management system.
