Basho Technologies has made available the second edition of the Riak Handbook. This version includes more than 43 pages of new content. It covers many of the latest feature enhancements to the open-source database, Riak.
MarketWatch brought this news to our attention in their article, “The Second Edition of Riak Handbook Available Now for Download.” The mechanics of Riak include storing and retrieving data, indexing, searching, and querying data. The updated handbook expands on previously covered key concepts and introduces new capabilities. Some of those include an overview of Riak Control, full coverage on pre- and post-commit hooks (including JavaScript and Erlang examples), and additional details on secondary indexes.
Basho Technologies uses their databases to power scalable, data-intensive Web, mobile, and e-commerce applications and large cloud computing platforms.
