edX is a not-for-profit enterprise of its founding partners Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. And the University of California at Berkeley was announced as a partner on July 24. edX feature learning designed specifically for interactive study via the web. Along with offering online courses, the institutions use edX to research how students learn and how technology can transform learning–both on-campus and worldwide.
This interesting approach is good for a professional wanting to learn more about a specific area, or maybe for someone contemplating going back to school full-time.
