SharePoint 2013 doesn’t take huge leaps of change, but more of a continued leg of a journey. Microsoft hasn’t redefined its collaboration software as much as refined it with updated user interfaces and improved utilization of metadata. They also improved the social media functionality.

This interesting news was brought to our attention by Visual Studio magazine in their article, “SharePoint 2013 Changes with the Times.” No release date has been set for this new phase of SharePoint.

Access Innovations’ Data Harmony suite of content enrichment and thesaurus management tools can be fully integrated with Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Data Harmony fills semantic gaps in SharePoint to help users take full advantage of their metadata through auto-classification, enterprise taxonomy management, entity extraction, and search enhancements.
